Judith Kimchi-Woods

Dr. Judith Kimchi-Woods is the founder of Nursing One. She is a diploma graduate of Rambam University Hospital in Haifa, Israel, and a BSN graduate from Ohio University. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Ph.D. in nursing from The Ohio State University.  Her focus of study was chronically ill children and their families, particularly young adults with cystic fibrosis. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Franklin University, is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).  Dr. Kimchi-Woods is currently the President of Chamberlain University College of Nursing, Columbus campus, a role she has held since 2009.

 

Dr. Judith Kimchi-Woods has over 40 years of combined experience in staff nursing, education,

research, private practice, consulting, and leadership. Before joining Chamberlain, she worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a Senior Quality Improvement Services Coordinator for eight years, where she was responsible for development and implementation of hospital-wide performance improvement projects to enhance patient safety. Her various faculty positions include Miami University, Capital University, and MedCentral College of Nursing. Judith is a member of the Columbus, Ohio Rotary Club, a Board of Directors’ member of the Cancer Support Community Central Ohio, a founding member of the Ohio Society of Pediatric Nurses (OSPN), the former President of the Ohio Council of Deans and Directors of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Nursing Programs, and a two-term past board member of the Ohio Nurses Foundation.

 

Dr. Kimchi-Woods is passionate about nursing and believes that all nurses need to see themselves as change leaders for the profession in advancing together issues that are important to nursing, nurses, and healthcare
